A board can smell fine and still need proper washing, which is not very glamorous but there we are. Have you had a chance to read the whole advice people keep repeating, or only the lemon bit?

Right, and I’d add one thing. We need a way to preserve useful detours without making search impossible. Maybe ten or fifteen substantial replies on the new subject is a reasonable signal, not a hard rule.
I like tangents, but there is a point where the original question disappears.
