that is the part I agree with. I’d rather define this while everybody is calm than after the first ugly argument. Repeatedly dragging unrelated grudges into new threads should count as behavior, not ‘just debate’.
Right, and I’d add one thing. I can think of several discussions that would fit there. Please don’t make people prove they know ten names before asking where to start. i’d rather see Hindustani and Carnatic music share the room at first than split things too early.
Mostly I’m just happy there’s room to let discussions become whatever they become without every conversation feeling like it has to pass an invisible exam first.
I don’t know enough to lead conversations there, but I would follow them. Keeping it specifically classical would help; otherwise it becomes a general India-and-music bucket.
