After considerable hardship — the details of which we are legally required to gloss over — we have arrived at our new home, bruised but standing.

Real, sincere thanks to everyone who helped get us here, and especially to Michael and Elsa, who did the actual work while the rest of us contributed moral support and strong opinions about font choices.

This is the new house now, and I want to say one thing clearly, right at the front door: the censorship that defined our previous residence does not live here. It was not invited. It does not have a key. It is, as far as this community is concerned, dead to us.

Going forward, I’d like to ask everyone — gently, but with real conviction — to resist relitigating the trauma of That Other Site. We know. We were there. We do not need a weekly thread processing it.

And, because I know somebody’s going to ask: yes, this also means no cursing, no insults, no calling anyone’s mother into it. Let’s leave that where it belongs, which is nowhere.

I’m opening a handful of forums here on topics we already know we’re into, and if something’s missing, put in a request. The rule is simple: five people behind a topic, and it gets built. I promise. This is apparently a democracy now, and I did not see that coming either.
