I would separate “still works” from “still pleasant to own.” The Profitec GO 2025 can pass the first test while losing the second.

Change: repeat the session with month 6.
Expected effect: the cup should move toward document whether aggressive roast softens over six months if that variable is causal.
Observed result: not tested on this exact setup yet.

I tested one change from the opening post and it moved the cup, but did not finish the job. Next variable: change only the filter paper. Why: this coffee may still be releasing enough gas to disturb the early extraction. Expected result: less sharpness while keeping roughly the same sweetness. I will report the actual result rather than stack another change on top.
