Right, and I’d add one thing. A waiting period could filter drive-by trolls, though it might mostly filter impatient normal people.

I had that with a cheap phone charger once. The light was fine, the cable was the real criminal.
In the end I just bought a thicker one and stopped pretending the bargain bin was a strategy.
