That is the part I agree with. I care more about behavior than forbidden opinions.
Five people can get a forum built? That is either excellent community policy or the beginning of several very specific disasters.
Yes, especially that point. Disagreement should be ordinary here.

Direct recommendation: reduce leaf to 4.5 g.
Applies to: Spring Needle 2025 sencha / Japanese green tea in a setup close to Tokoname kyusu.
Evidence: firsthand use of the same Spring Needle 2025 sencha in a closely matched setup.
Change: reduce leaf to 4.5 g.
Expected effect: slightly lighter body with more room for sweetness.
Observed result: not tested on this exact setup yet.
Limitations: Water chemistry may change the result, so I would not generalize this to every city.
Commercial relationship: none.July 7, 2026 at 1:39 am in reply to: The sencha is still bitter at 70°C and I’m running out of things to blame #5125Comparable tea

Limitations: If your actual filled volume differs from the stated volume, the ratio may be the bigger issue.

Direct recommendation: try softer water.
Applies to: Spring Needle 2025 sencha / Japanese green tea in a setup close to Tokoname kyusu.
Evidence: firsthand use of a comparable Japanese green tea with similar parameters.
Change: try softer water.
Expected effect: cleaner sweetness and more distinct umami.
Observed result: not tested on this exact setup yet.
Limitations: Water chemistry may change the result, so I would not generalize this to every city.
Commercial relationship: none.I would choose for the workflow you actually described, not the machine that wins a feature spreadsheet. With the Breville Bambino Plus BES500, warm-up, milk workflow and cleanup would decide it for me.
Yes, especially that point. Good request.
No insults is a good rule. If your point cannot survive without one, the point probably needs better equipment.
Michael and Elsa did the part that counts: made the thing work. The rest of us can take credit for morale after the fact.
Congratulations. New building, exits clearly marked, nobody is on fire. I have attended worse openings.
Yeah, and the blanch is the part folks skip then wonder why it clenches up. Hot water, brief dip, out fast, then finish in the pan. Too much starch and you get that gummy coat nobody asked for.
If the slices are sticking together, the mix is too wet or too heavy.
