Machine / revision: Breville Bambino Plus BES500 / Gaggia Classic E24
        Country / voltage: Canada / 120V
Grinder / burrs / setting / calibration: DF54; stock 54 mm flat burrs; 15 marks from burr touch; zero checked after cleaning.
Basket / portafilter: 18–20 g VST-style precision basket; stock portafilter with double spout (54 mm system where applicable).
Bean / roast date: Guatemala Huehuetenango medium roast; roast date 2026-06-27.
        Dose / yield / extraction time: 17.5 g in, 35 g out, 27 s target/current reference.
Water / temperature: RO water remineralized to about 70 ppm TDS; 94°C.
Exact symptom: I am choosing a setup and want the purchase to match the workflow described in the title.
Tests already performed: Measured counter space, timed the current morning routine, listed drink volume, checked local prices and service options.
Diagnostic photograph or video: photo of the machine label/revision plus a short symptom clip.

This is mostly about daily use, not chasing the last two percent in the cup. If the Breville Bambino Plus BES500 makes four drinks with less swearing, that counts as a feature.

I would choose for the workflow you actually described, not the machine that wins a feature spreadsheet. With the Breville Bambino Plus BES500, warm-up, milk workflow and cleanup would decide it for me.

If four milk drinks are normal, test the whole sequence in your head: grind, dose, brew, steam, purge, repeat. A small delay becomes a personality trait by drink four.
