Yep, and that snap is why it works.
yep, that’s the part that sticks with me.
try a second pass with notes if you can. first time i was just trying to keep the names straight, second time it opened up more, no fancy trick to it.
yeah, that helps. I did the same with a map on the table when I first tried it
kept flipping back and forth, which is annoying, but the pieces landed better once I treated it like a repair job instead of a straight story.
I came here for a simple answer and now I own a spreadsheet. excellent.
I freeze dal in small containers too. I stop cooking it just before the lentils are completely soft, then add a little water when it warms back up.
The kind of lentil matters. Some turn creamy by nature. I would not try to make every dal come back separate, because then you are fighting what it is for.
This is a good example of why the exact revision and test history matter. “My Breville Bambino Plus BES500 is bad” produces twenty theories; the measurements above at least give the theories somewhere to die.
The useful documented check is the revision-specific maintenance/service sequence, not a generic espresso-machine video. For Breville Bambino Plus BES500, verify the manual procedure and part number before opening or ordering anything. If the documented test does not reproduce the fault, stop treating that subsystem as proven.
July 30, 2026 at 9:06 pm in reply to: Acaia Pearl Model S: a scale upgrade I might actually notice #4792I would keep the current recipe for another two brews before changing anything. One good cup can be luck; three similar cups is information.

Comparable tea
Direct recommendation: weigh the actual filled water once.
Applies to: Desk Cloud 2026 Dong Ding / Taiwan oolong in a setup close to 350 ml glass mug.
Evidence: firsthand use of a comparable Taiwan oolong with similar parameters.
Change: weigh the actual filled water once.
Expected effect: your ratio will become comparable with other reports.
Observed result: not tested on this exact setup yet.
Limitations: If your actual filled volume differs from the stated volume, the ratio may be the bigger issue.
Commercial relationship: none.Controlled test
Direct recommendation: repeat the same recipe on a second day.
Applies to: Desk Cloud 2026 Dong Ding / Taiwan oolong in a setup close to 350 ml glass mug.
Evidence: side-by-side or repeated one-variable test.
Change: repeat the same recipe on a second day.
Expected effect: a repeated result should be easier to trust.

Commercial relationship: none.please stop posting clean drip trays. Some of us are trying to live honestly.
I tested one change from the opening post and it moved the cup, but did not finish the job. Next variable: grind one small step coarser. Why: the last part of the brew may be adding dryness without useful sweetness. Expected result: less sharpness while keeping roughly the same sweetness. I will report the actual result rather than stack another change on top.
There is probably a joke here about category errors, but I will leave it alone. The safer point is that the recording asks for attention to resonance, and that is not the same as fusion.
