The cleanup detail matters more than reviews admit. A tool used every day gets judged in the sink as much as in the cup

          Comparable tea
Direct recommendation: weigh the actual filled water once.
Applies to: Warehouse Moon 2017 shou cake / puer storage diagnosis in a setup close to 100 ml porcelain gaiwan.
Evidence: firsthand use of a comparable puer storage diagnosis with similar parameters.
Change: weigh the actual filled water once.
Expected effect: your ratio will become comparable with other reports.
Observed result: not tested on this exact setup yet.
Limitations: I would stop if the change removes the aroma you are trying to preserve.
          Commercial relationship: none.

            Long-term report
Direct recommendation: repeat the session with 48 hours dry airing.
Applies to: Warehouse Moon 2017 shou cake / puer storage diagnosis in a setup close to 100 ml porcelain gaiwan.
Evidence: measured storage in a similar climate.
Change: repeat the session with 48 hours dry airing.
Expected effect: the cup should move toward determine whether to isolate/discard the cake if that variable is causal.
Observed result: musty aroma reduced but white specks unchanged.
Limitations: Water chemistry may change the result, so I would not generalize this to every city.
            Commercial relationship: none.

Direct recommendation: repeat the same recipe on a second day.

Expected effect: a repeated result should be easier to trust.

Limitations: If your actual filled volume differs from the stated volume, the ratio may be the bigger issue.

One variable only: reduce the final pour by 20 g. Why: this coffee may still be releasing enough gas to disturb the early extraction. Expected result: a clear change in flow speed if the paper is part of the problem. i’d not buy anything until that test gives you a direction

i’ve used Kenya Nyeri AA on the same Hario V60 02 plastic / 1Zpresso ZP6 Special combination. Change: reduce the final pour by 20 g. Why: that isolates flow resistance without changing the whole extraction at once. Expected result: less sharpness while keeping roughly the same sweetness. Keep everything else exactly where it is for one brew.

For a large dumpling batch I prefer a wrapper with enough elasticity to survive filling, stacking and boiling. The hot-water dough has its place, especially for tenderness, but it is less forgiving if the wrappers sit around while the next tray is being filled.

The dough is part of the schedule. Recipes leave that out because they are not feeding a room full of sailors.

Yep, that little speaker test says a lot.
Bass you can feel is nice, but bass you can still hear is the real prize.

That matches my experience too, though I’d add a funny twist: live jazz trio records can sound bigger than they should, like somebody sneaked in an extra wall. I had one NPR-style session that sounded great on a cheap kitchen speaker and then fell apart on headphones, so the room was not the only liar in the house.

A tight vocal and sensible bass usually win.
And anything that sounds like it was mixed in a broom closet, oddly enough.

Exactly. A clean vocal and a bass line that knows its manners can survive a kitchen radio, which is more than I can say for half the stuff on my old dock speaker. Still, some roomy folk or dub with a little restraint can do fine too, just not the bass-heavy thunder parade.
