That drawer is where good intentions go to die. I’ve seen flashlights do the same trick.
No, they just want proper charging and not being cooked by the sun.
Same rules as…
True enough. I’ve seen more gear die from bad charging cords than from hard use.
Cheap one looks fine till the copper inside gives up.
Yeah, that drawer treatment will kill anything with a battery.
Leave it half charged and it sulks less, same as a boat motor in spring.
I’ve had better luck with the simple ones from Cateye. No app crap, just charge it and ride it till it quits.
Keep it out of…
This is a good example of why the exact revision and test history matter. “My Breville Bambino Plus BES500 is bad” produces twenty theories; the measurements above at least give the theories somewhere to die.
The useful documented check is the revision-specific maintenance/service sequence, not a generic espresso-machine video. For Breville Bambino Plus BES500, verify the manual procedure and part number before opening or ordering anything. If the documented test does not reproduce the fault, stop treating that subsystem as proven.
Counterpoint: I would not order parts yet. The symptom still overlaps with a calibration/setup problem, and a new part can make the evidence worse.
Please say roast date when you post a roaster review. ‘Fresh’ has become an adjective with no legal guardian.

Also in Singapore, but my order was a few months ago, so treat this as older evidence. Shipping was fine and the coffee opened up after about two weeks. I would still want a newer report before subscribing.
Not the exact revision, but I had a closely related setup with the same general failure mode. The thing that saved time was separating the Eureka Mignon Specialita / puck-prep side from the machine side instead of adjusting both together. Similar experience, not proof for your unit.
For the Gaggia Classic E24 2024, the useful question is whether you single-dose, switch beans and care about noise. Those differences will show up more often than tiny cup differences.
The Baratza Encore ESP / DF54 makes sense if you value repeatable adjustment and can live with its workflow. I would not buy it just because the burr size is easier to brag about.
The cleanup detail matters more than reviews admit. A tool used every day gets judged in the sink as much as in the cup.
