I would add Zappa’s The Grand Wazoo here, not because it is tidy but because the parts feel like they are negotiating terms in real time.
The best stretches for me are when one line is trying to behave and another one keeps leaning on the table and knocking the whole room off balance. That is the character, not just the technique. What other records pull that off without sounding like homework?

I think that is right, and the key difference is absorption. Moong is softer and more forgiving, while toor has enough body to let the tempering sink in a little without disappearing entirely. If you fry the spices too long, though, you get that haunted-burnt note nobody invited.
right, but confetti is funnier than most temperings. still, if you want the spices to disappear into the bowl, you have to give them time in the pot, not just a dramatic exit at the end

Not the exact revision, but I had a closely related setup with the same general failure mode. The thing that saved time was separating the Niche Zero / puck-prep side from the machine side instead of adjusting both together. Similar experience, not proof for your unit.

Jethro Tull’s Aqualung is not exactly ugly, but the cover has the same problem as a lot of prog packaging: it announces a visual theory of the record before you have heard the music. The painted figure looks like a warning from a damp theater lobby.
The album itself is more interesting than the package suggests. The flute, riffs and sermon-like lyrics keep refusing to settle into one genre, which is probably why the cover had to shout first.
