For a first comparison I would choose one Kambhoji rendition with a generous alapana and one where the kriti and rhythmic development become more prominent. The contrast is easier to hear than a list of famous names.
I would listen for how the singer makes the raga recognizable before the fast passages arrive. The speed is not the proof of understanding. The slower decisions usually tell me more.
