I’m interested even if I mostly know the music from listening rather than practice. A pinned beginner thread could stop the same three questions from multiplying forever.

That is the part I agree with. I’d like somewhere to ask basic questions without hijacking every music thread. The useful part for me would be recommendations with a little explanation of what to listen for.
