I keep thinking of The Likeness by Tana French because the music is part of the atmosphere and the social world, not just a marker to make a character seem clever. Also A Visit from the Goon Squad has a lot of listening and performing that feels lived in rather than explained, and the chapters let the music stay messy and human. If you want something a bit quieter, maybe try The Master and Margarita for the way song and performance sit inside the texture of the book instead of being turned into a lesson. I’d love to hear whether you want more contemporary, or more literary/classic suggestions!

I have only made dumplings a few times, but hot-water dough was easier for me to roll. Cold-water dough seemed stronger when I used a wetter filling.

I would probably choose based on whether I want soft wrappers or wrappers that survive my folding technique. My folding technique is still under investigation.

The useful bit in this thread is that nobody has to guess which Profitec GO 2025 or Eureka Mignon Specialita is involved. Half of repair advice goes bad before that point.
