Direct recommendation: repeat the same recipe on a second day.
Applies to: same Baozhong in two gaiwans / teaware beginner comparison in a setup close to easy gaiwan vs traditional 100 ml gaiwan.
Evidence: controlled side-by-side use under matched conditions.
Change: repeat the same recipe on a second day.
Expected effect: a repeated result should be easier to trust.
Observed result: traditional pours faster but easy gaiwan is dramatically less stressful.
Limitations: This may not transfer to a heavier roast or a very different vessel size.

The thing that saved time was separating the Baratza Encore ESP / puck-prep side from the machine side instead of adjusting both together. Similar experience, not proof for your unit.

I agree, but the book also shows a limit on the other side. If everything is shared too perfectly, people can dodge responsibility by blending into the group. That is where Shevek gets stuck, and it is not just ideology. It is habits, small ones, everyday.
You can do that. Also the meal scenes, weirdly enough. When people have to pass around scarcity it tells you a lot fast, no big speech needed.
