Brewer and filter: Hario V60 02 plastic; Hario tabbed 02 paper
Grinder, burr and calibration: Comandante C40 MK4; Nitro Blade; 24 clicks
Bean, roaster, process and roast date: Kenya Nyeri AA; Square Mile; washed; roast date 2026-07-20
Dose and water mass: 18.0 g coffee; 306 g water
Temperature and water profile: 93°C; remineralized RO, about 60 ppm GH / 25 ppm KH
Pour/agitation schedule: single continuous main pour after a 45 s bloom; one small excavation with spoon only if dry pockets remain
        Drawdown time: 3:20
Expected and perceived flavour: expected floral sweetness and clear acidity; perceived cup is flatter and drier than expected
Changes already tested: tested 2°C lower water temperature; same grind and pouring schedule

This is one of those purchases where every extra fifty dollars somehow becomes ‘obvious.’ I would like the version of the advice that remembers rent exists.

That tracks with my experience. The useful part is that you wrote down what stayed fixed, so somebody else can actually test it.

The cleanup detail matters more than reviews admit. A tool used every day gets judged in the sink as much as in the cup

I am less convinced by the flavour claim than the workflow claim, but that may be because my water is different.

Every hobby eventually becomes labelled freezer bags, apparently.

I would keep the current recipe for another two brews before changing anything. One good cup can be luck; three similar cups is information.

This is exactly the kind of note I want in a forum: date, setup, what changed, and what happened. Future searchers can do something with it.
