Small correction the battery usually does not just vanish after six months unless it is stored flat or cooked in a hot shed.

The mount and the charging port fail first on a lot of these, which is annoying because that is the cheap part people never brag about.

Twelve bad ends, yeah that is a normal weekend in my bay.

Still better than one fake-clean ending with no real fix.

yep that’s the trap right there. once the sugar and soy start covering for the paste, you know it wasnt the right jar

Ha. And the pantry always loses the case. The substitute just testifies against you in the skillet

What helped you most, the tree scale stuff or the people scale stuff?

I keep thinking the book wants both, but one of them is doing more heavy lifting for different readers.

pixian in mapo, usually. Yellow soybean paste can work in braises but it is a different animal, more mellow and less sharp. You can fake part…

Yep, same. Show me the house, dont hand me the brochure and call it living.

Brochures never mention the weird smell in the basement.

yep and that sweet note matters more than people think
it can drag the whole bowl…

That sounds right. If a book needs a map for every feeling it starts acting like a repair manual, and I already got one of those on my bench.
The ache is the part that sticks anyway.

Yeah, two clocks is right. One is telling you about sap and seasons, the other is just screaming about rent and bad knees.
That tension is the whole book if you ask me.

Maybe, but the person making the bad choice is the whole point sometimes. If the hinge is loose, the door still falls off no matter how…

I disagree a bit. The paste is not just background salt, it can be the main browned flavor in the pan. If you swap blindly the whole dish shifts, not just the heat. kind of the point, really

Nah, I think the braid is the part people remember because it keeps pulling tight then loosening up again. A straight line would be easier, sure, but also kinda dead.
And dead is not a forest’s best feature.
