August 14, 2026 at 7:47 am #4883Brewer and filter: Orea V4 Wide; Negotiator + Sibarist FAST flat
Grinder, burr and calibration: 1Zpresso ZP6 Special; 48 mm heptagonal burr; 5.2 from calibrated zero
Bean, roaster, process and roast date: washed Ethiopia Guji; Passenger Coffee; washed; roast date 2026-07-21
Dose and water mass: 16.0 g coffee; 272 g water
Temperature and water profile: 91°C; bottled low-mineral water, about 45 ppm TDS
Pour/agitation schedule: 48 g bloom for 45 s, then two even pours to 272 g; one gentle swirl
Drawdown time: 3:05
Expected and perceived flavour: expected cocoa and red fruit; perceived cup is thin despite adequate extraction time
Changes already tested: changed grind one step coarser; kept everything else fixedI can read specifications myself. What I cannot tell from specifications is which difference survives six months of daily use. If you owned both, please lead with that and tell me what actually changed in the cup or workflow.

I had both on the counter at the same time. In blind cups the gap was smaller than the internet had prepared me for. Cleanup, noise and how often I had to correct the setting mattered more by month three.

I only own one of the two, so weight this below the dual-owner reports. Mine has been consistent and easy to clean, but I cannot tell you whether the other one would be better in the same kitchen.

Used both daily, not just side by side for a weekend. If you value fast setup I would pick the first; if you enjoy adjusting every variable the second earns its extra fuss. Neither made bad beans interesting.

Please include noise in the comparison. Some of us make coffee before the rest of the apartment has consented to being awake.

The important constraint here is counter space. The technically better option is not better if it lives in a cupboard.
