I am trying to solve a constraint rather than assemble the officially correct tea altar. The current experiment is vessel: small porcelain gaiwan to plastic travel brewer. less elegant, far less anxiety, cup quality acceptable.

The goal is something that can be thrown in a backpack. First-hand reports from similarly constrained setups are more useful to me than a list of everything I could buy if the constraint disappeared.
