Brewer and filter: Orea V4 Wide; Negotiator + Sibarist FAST flat
Grinder, burr and calibration: KINGrinder K6; 48 mm conical burr; 92 clicks from zero
Bean, roaster, process and roast date: washed Ethiopia Guji; Passenger Coffee; washed; roast date 2026-07-18
Dose and water mass: 16.0 g coffee; 256 g water
Temperature and water profile: 91°C; bottled low-mineral water, about 45 ppm TDS
Pour/agitation schedule: 56 g bloom for 40 s, then three pours; no stirring after bloom
        Drawdown time: 4:10
Expected and perceived flavour: expected caramel and stone fruit; perceived cup is sweet but slightly muddy
Changes already tested: rested the coffee three additional days and repeated the same recipe

I have enough contradictory impressions in my notes that I finally stopped guessing and ran the same coffee side by side. This is not laboratory science, but at least the variables are written down.

The cleanup detail matters more than reviews admit. A tool used every day gets judged in the sink as much as in the cup.

I would keep the current recipe for another two brews before changing anything. One good cup can be luck; three similar cups is information.

I am less convinced by the flavour claim than the workflow claim, but that may be because my water is different.

This is exactly the kind of note I want in a forum: date, setup, what changed, and what happened. Future searchers can do something with it.

That tracks with my experience. The useful part is that you wrote down what stayed fixed, so somebody else can actually test it.
