July 11, 2026 at 6:44 am #4061Machine / revision: Lelit Anna PID PL41TEM / Breville Bambino Plus BES500
Country / voltage: Australia / 230V
Grinder / burrs / setting / calibration: Baratza Encore ESP; stock conical burrs; 12 on the ESP range; calibration tab in stock position.
Basket / portafilter: stock double basket with paper filter; bottomless portafilter (54 mm system where applicable).
Bean / roast date: Colombia Huila medium roast; roast date 2026-07-05.
Dose / yield / extraction time: 17.5 g in, 35 g out, 27 s target/current reference.
Water / temperature: RO water remineralized to about 70 ppm TDS; 94°C.
Exact symptom: I am choosing a setup and want the purchase to match the workflow described in the title.
Tests already performed: Measured counter space, timed the current morning routine, listed drink volume, checked local prices and service options.
Diagnostic photograph or video: photo of the grinder setting and a short shot video.I keep circling the Lelit Anna PID PL41TEM because it looks sensible on paper and dangerously easy to justify in real life. I care more about the morning workflow than winning a specification contest.

Do not spend the whole budget on the machine and leave the grinder as an apology. The Baratza Encore ESP side of this setup matters every morning.

I would choose for the workflow you actually described, not the machine that wins a feature spreadsheet. With the Lelit Anna PID PL41TEM, warm-up, milk workflow and cleanup would decide it for me.
