I am trying to solve a constraint rather than assemble the officially correct tea altar. The current experiment is filter size: small tea ball to large basket. better extraction and much easier dumping/rinsing.

The goal is loose leaf without leaving evidence all over the sink. First-hand reports from similarly constrained setups are more useful to me than a list of everything I could buy if the constraint disappeared.
