August 5, 2026 at 5:10 pm #4833Brewer and filter: AeroPress XL; AeroPress XL paper
Grinder, burr and calibration: 1Zpresso K-Ultra; 48 mm conical burr; 7.1 from zero
Bean, roaster, process and roast date: Ethiopia Bombe; SEY Coffee; natural; roast date 2026-07-10
Dose and water mass: 16.0 g coffee; 272 g water
Temperature and water profile: 92°C; Brita-filtered tap water, about 110 ppm TDS
Pour/agitation schedule: 56 g bloom for 40 s, then three pours; no stirring after bloom
Drawdown time: 2:35
Expected and perceived flavour: expected cocoa and red fruit; perceived cup is thin despite adequate extraction time
Changes already tested: rested the coffee three additional days and repeated the same recipeI am looking for current reports rather than a greatest-hits list from five years ago. I am in Netherlands, so shipping time and how the coffee arrives matter almost as much as the tasting notes. Recent bags first, please.

Recent Netherlands report: my last order arrived within the normal window for domestic/import delivery and the roast date was recent enough that I still rested it before brewing. The useful part was consistency across two bags, not one spectacular cup.

Also in Netherlands, but my order was a few months ago, so treat this as older evidence. Shipping was fine and the coffee opened up after about two weeks. I would still want a newer report before subscribing.

Foreign and older report, so this belongs lower in the pile. The coffee itself was excellent, but transit changed the resting window enough that my recipe notes are probably not portable to your order.

I would rather know which coffee you finished than which bag photographed well.
