Video if pouring or drainage is relevant: pour/drainage video described in the post; not embedded in this archiveThis is the first version of this recipe I have repeated enough times to stop calling it an accident. The useful change was leaf quantity: 4 g to 3 g. less swampy on the second refill and still aromatic.
I am posting the taste result as well as the instructions because a recipe that only says what to do is half a recipe. If you try it, please say what changed in the cup rather than just whether you liked it.

Same tea/batch
Direct recommendation: repeat the session with 3 g.
Applies to: Early Rain 2026 Huangshan Maofeng / Chinese green tea in a setup close to 400 ml glass.
Evidence: firsthand use of the same Early Rain 2026 Huangshan Maofeng in a closely matched setup.
Change: repeat the session with 3 g.
Expected effect: the cup should move toward a forgiving desk recipe if that variable is causal.
Observed result: not tested on this exact setup yet.
Limitations: I would stop if the change removes the aroma you are trying to preserve.
Commercial relationship: none.-
