Exact symptom: Looking for ownership evidence: failures, maintenance, annoying wear items and what still feels good after sustained use.
Tests already performed: Checked serial/revision, service history, consumables replaced and approximate shot count.

This is a long-term ownership check, not a beauty contest. The Breville Bambino Plus BES500 still interests me, but I want to know what the product page stops mentioning after a year.

Ask used sellers for a cold-start video, a pressure/flow demonstration and a photo of the label/revision. A polished exterior tells you almost nothing.

The Breville Bambino Plus BES500 has been reliable for me, but “reliable” still includes cleaning, seals and the occasional stupid little part. I would buy it again with a maintenance budget.
